Comprehension

Shopping

Next Friday, when it is the end of the month, my father will give me my pocket money. When Mother goes to the shops to buy groceries, vegetables, fruit and meat I shall go with her. Our special family day is not far away and I have to look for presents for my family. At the hardware shop I shall buy a small tool set for my father. Maybe there will be a

bargain price. Lucy will certainly love some bubble bath from the chemist and Mother will be delighted with that expensive silk scarf from Mitzi’s Boutique. I doubt if I shall have enough money for all these purchases but luckily there are two months left. Even with an empty wallet or purse I like to browse in the stationery and gift shops and to peep into the pet shop and jeweller’s. I am glad I don’t have any accounts. When I pay cash I sometimes get a discount on the full account. I always keep my receipts and don’t have any debts. You should too!
