BiograpHy

after 13 years of professional timber framing Collin Beggs is more passionate about the craft than ever. as owner of Timber Frames by Collin Beggs, Inc. he is principal designer, timber framer and general contractor for his company. he became a union carpenter, and quickly grew bored of concrete tilt ups and got into full scribe log building in his home state of alaska. after chancing upon a photo of a timber frame he decided to move to the northeast and began working with a variety of companies. his experience ranges from 18–19th century restoration using traditional hand tools to expanding his timber frame company into a complete design build company. he has a particular focus on using mixed species, lots of crooked wood, and is an active member/presenter of the timber Framers guild. Collin has studied Medieval geometric layout in england and studied one-on-one with some of the masters of the craft.
