Tim Tremblay Stays In Championship Fight Max Taillefer Races To Podium In Pro Lite Aurora, Minn. (February 2, 2015) The short bullring course at the Days of 76 rodeo grounds in Deadwood, South Dakota can be a fickle beast. Tim Tremblay learned that the hard way on Saturday night after launching to a great start in the AMSOIL Pro Open final, only to get tangled in the upside down sled of the sport’s winningest rider, who had crashed all by himself in the second turn. Amazingly, Tremblay remounted after the entire field had passed and raced his way back to a sixth place finish. On Friday night, Tremblay finished just off of the podium in fourth and, with his combined qualifying efforts, collected enough points to stay in the third overall position for the season. New addtion, Max Taillefer, who is filling in for the injured Lincoln Lemieux, raced to two qualifying round wins in the Pro Lite class, as well as a third place podium finish on Friday night. Taillefer has proven to be a great fit with the team, who spent a good portion of the week in Deadwood fine-tuning his Ski- Doo race sled to our standards and giving him the best shot at more podiums as we go forward. Each season when the tour heads west to the Black Hills, we get the opportunity to visit with area students as part of our U.S. Air Force Race To The Future Scholarship program. This year we made a stop at the Box Elder High School which is affiliated with the Ellsworth Air Force base near Rapid City. We also made our third visit to the Leed/Deadwood campus near the historic Homestake gold mine at the top of the Gulch. It’s a quick turnaround this week before we head east to upstate New York and the Seneca/Allegany U.S. Air Force National on February 6-7.
