The group has been working on strategies that will make a greater number of the year’s meetings more strategic in nature, and the February gather- ing was the first of these. One topic of dis- cussion at the meeting was the SJCS En- dowment and the strategies we want to employ to make future-minded financial planning a natural part of the school’s cul- ture. We are excited to share some of these thoughts at the Spring Town Hall. A second major topic of the evening’s dis- cussion centered on our campus. The trus- tees agreed that the current state of our campus does not meet all of the needs we have for the future. However, the cost of purchasing or developing a campus at an- other location is not realistic for us at this time either. What is feasible, however, is a thorough renovation of our current facility, and we are excited to embark on a cam- paign to get that accomplished starting next year. For an even more detailed account of these topics, please come to the Spring Town Hall meeting this evening. Standardized Testing This year, SJCS will be doing its school- wide standardized testing during the week of March 26-30 . Tests will be given each morning to students in grades 1-8, so it is imperative that all students are at school during that week. Please make every effort to have your children in class for their test- ing time. Thank you for your cooperation. Spring Town Hall Tonight Twice each year, SJCS holds Town Hall events to keep parents informed of ongo- ing initiatives, new developments, and top- ics related to the future of the school. We have a full slate tonight that includes up- coming events, new and revamped educa- tional programs, leadership roles for par- ents at SJCS, and much more. The Town Hall runs from 6:30-8pm in the audito- rium, and childcare will be provided for $5 per child with a family maximum of $15. We hope to see all of you there! Financial Drive Update This year’s annual financial drive—Bold Vision, Bright Future—is moving along well. To date, we have raised $63,257, putting us well on our way to our goal of $100,000. This year’s donations have in- cluded cash, stocks, and pledges. If you have an idea for a creative way to give to SJCS through our annual campaign, please call the office, and we will be glad to help you. All donations to the drive are 100% tax-deductible. Box Tops for Education - WINNER Congratulations to the third graders! They have won the ice cream party by bringing in the most box tops. SJCS SportsVolleyballThe Girls Volleyball team is getting stronger each match. With two weeks left in the season the girls are ready to get a winning streak started. Go Tigers!

Soccer ResultsSJCS 2 – Baymonte 3Baymonte dealt the boys soccer team its first loss of the season last week. Had a couple of balls fallen for the Tigers, the outcome may have been different. We know there are a lot of things to improve on, and we are lucky to have been tested this early. We will see how the Tigers can bounce back.

SJCS 5 – Achiever 0 The Tigers answered the call. After their first loss of the season, the Tigers re-sponded great with a team win. We saw Isaiah, and Atheer both get a pair of goals. One of the goals had a little help from Achiever. Carmona added a goal to really push the score up. Josh, and Isaac teamed up for a clean sheet, not allowing a goal in the game. The middle was controlled by Blake the whole first half. The game also was a good chance for some young Tigers to sharpen their claws with some good playing time too. Keaton, David, Braedon, and Michael all played a lot of vital min-utes to keep the lead and clean sheet in-tact.
