Happy  &irst  day  of  school!    It  was  wonderful  to  see  all  of  your  child’s  happy,  smiling  faces  this  morning.  Our  freshmen  had  a  great  time  this  morning  and  I  got  to  meet  some  amazing  parents  of  freshmen  at  my  meeting  this  morning.  Thank  you  all  who  came  out  to  meet  me  and  my  administrative  staff.  Please  read  below  for  this  week’s  announcements/news.  Have  a  great  day!

First  of  all,  TIGER  PRIDE!  

Marana  Athletics  is  founded  on  the  Culture,  Commitment,  and  Competitive  philosophy  which  strives  to  strengthen  the  Caring  and  Effective  vision  

while  teaching  athletes  to  ful&ill  their  commitments  to  their  teammates,  school  and  families  to  be  the  most  competitive  Tigers  they  can  be.  We  are    honored  to  have  your  athlete  as  a  part  of  Marana  High  School  and  look  forward  to  a  great  year.  

The  week  of  August  4th,  football  is  the  only  sport  allowed  to  have  of&icial  practice  and  try-­‐outs  per  AIA  by-­‐laws.  All  other  fall  sports,  Cross  Country,  Golf,  Swim  and  Volleyball  will  be  holding  conditioning  for  students  to  get  back  into  the  swing  of  high  school  athletics.  

Beginning  August  11th,  Cross  Country,  Golf,  Swim  and  Volleyball  will  hold  of&icial  try-­‐out  and  practice.  Please  ensure  your  student  athlete  has  their  athletic  packet  into  the  Athletic  Department  in  Student  Services  by  August  8th.
