EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:

Booz Allen Hamilton, Consultant 10/14 – PresentMs. Bennett is a new hire at Booz Allen Hamilton and is currently exploring opportunities that Booz Allen Hamilton has to offer. She is a member of the Law Enforcement & Intelligence Team as an All Source Intelligence Analyst. Her responsibilities include analyz-ing high-priority homeland security intelligence threats, search for specific study topics, develop a work plan, conduct research, and write studies IAW intelligence community (IC) analytic tradecraft standards. Leverage existing databases and enhance analytic output using technology, conduct bulk data analysis via queries and applications to manage large data sets and coordinate with IC and depart-mental counterparts.

DELTA Resources Inc. , Program Analyst 12/11 – 10/14Ms. Bennett has held a few position at DELTA Resources Inc. within the Department of Defense. Her previous job directly supported the Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs (ASD ISA). The ASD/ISA is the principal advisor to the Under Secretary of Defense Policy (USDP) and the United States Secretary of Defense on international security strategy and policy issues for the Department of Defense. The main focus of ISA incorporates organizations of Europe (including the North Atlantic Treaty Organi-zation); the Middle East; Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia; Africa; and the Western Hemisphere. ISA also oversees security cooperation programs and foreign military sales programs in these regions. Supporting the Assistant Secretary required integrating into a high-paced team which maintains 24/7 global situational awareness and an understanding of current threats. The ability to monitor, sort, prioritize, and analyze current global issues are fundamental skills to possess to best support the mission of the ISA front office. She routinely participated in collaboration and information sharing with the White House, State Department, intelligence community, and other interagency organizations. Effective communication within this role included the ability to compile and disseminate information critical to the mission of the ISA front office. Working in this office provided me with the opportunity to meet several individuals in Undersecretary for Defense Intelligence (USDI), DNI, State Department, the White House, think tanks such as CNAS, CFR, and At-lantic Council, among others.

Supporting the Assistant Secretary increased her ability to brief senior officials. Meeting high level officials and maintaining a good working relationship with their offices became second nature. Not only did she work internally to offices within the United States, she also continuously collaborated and formed relationships with foreign counterparts, including foreign embassies and organizations. In the ISA front office, the fast pace nature of the responsibilities belonging to the Assistant Secretary demanded timely and relevant in-formation sharing. Multitasking and exercising interpersonal skills are needed on a regular basis. The ability to work 12.5 hours in a 24/7 fast-paced and demanding environment was not unusual.

She also supported PEO Ships Acquisition and Management. In doing so, she provided financial, contractual, configuration manage-ment and programmatic analysis in preparation for Program Acquisition Resource Manager (PARM) reviews and the SCN Execution Review. A requirement was also to review and analyze PARM acquisition plans, planned contract award dates and required GFE de-livery dates as specified in SPD Part III’s and the Schedule A’s of applicable shipbuilding contracts. Updating IVCS POC listings, system summary, PARM review, PARM minutes, IRA, quad charts were regular everyday tasks. Tracking the status of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) procurements for the DDG51 class new construction programs throughout the acquisition process was also a reoccurring task. She was a member of the AEGIS Modernization team, working in support of PMS400F. I also supported the Weapons System and Hull Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) upgrades for the in service fleet of DDG51 Class Destroyers and the Weapons System upgrades for the CG47 Cruisers.

Her first position of employment was supporting the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, and Acquisition. She provided direct support to ASN (RDA) for the receipt, management, and tracking to completion of various Taskers/Action Items. She maintained supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed supplies; place and expedite orders for supplies; verify receipt of supplies. Organizing meetings, reserving conference rooms, and coordinating with meeting participants were usual occurrences. Ms. Bennett composed and edited communications, reports, and PowerPoint presentations and also assisted in the development of Spending Execution Charts.

Outside of her education, she has spent much time abroad. In addition to foreign travel, she also spent time during furloughs interning with many congressional offices to enhance her understanding of fundamental government policies and procedures and to gain insight on how different congressional offices function. These offices include the House of Representatives Committee on Veterans Affairs, Senator Jim DeMint’s regional office in Charleston, SC, and Congressman Mike McIntyre’s office in Washington, DC.
