To The Trees
Days lengthen; the leaves of the trees – they turn,
And fall to the earth to be bagged or burned.
They’re raked, or swept, and gathered up tight;
Some are jumped in, to children’s delight.
Their colors of red, orange, and gold
Bring smiles to faces of the young and the old.
Dear leaves on the trees, your lives aren’t in vain –
In the dead of winter, your colors remain
In the memories of each living thing.
They sustain us through winter, ‘till the budding in spring.
Pastor Amanda

FROM THE FAMILY OF ALISON OBER On behalf of the entire family, we would like to thank our church family and friends for all the prayers, love and support before, during and after Alison’s illness. The church was such an important part of her life and her amazing faith gave her (and us) the strength to go through these last several months. She touched so many people and we now have a guardian angel keeping watch over us. Alison planned most of her memorial service and we think she would have been very pleased as to how it turned out. Thank you all again. With love, Dawn, Michael, Jessica, Nicole and the Ober Families.

WELCOME
The United Methodist Church at Mount Tabor is a community of faith-filled friends who seek to grow closer to God through the ministry of Jesus Christ, and by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We celebrate the history of Mount Tabor, and look with hope toward the future. Everyone is welcome here; everyone is cherished here; for everyone is a child of God. All are welcome to participate with us in our journey of faith, regardless of background, theological stance, or personal characteristics. We rejoice in God creating us to be a diverse family; and we strive to follow the Spirit’s leading as one, while maintaining and upholding our individuality. Because of the current official stance of The United Methodist Church, we feel it is important to state a welcome to those of all sexual orientations and gender identities – You are welcome here. God loves you just the way you are; and so do we.
