If the value of the property is unknown enter one ("1") dollar. Do not enter property value for "10" = Drugs/Narcotics for Drug/Narcotic Violations (UCR Offense Code 35A), but do enter the value for other offenses. This means that property value is not entered when drugs or narcotics are seized in a drug/narcotic case but will be when the offense is another offense such as Arson/ Burglary/etc.

    3.8.1 16 41-49 9 VALUE OF PROPERTY (#1)

    Right-justified with zero left-fill (In Whole Dollars). Data Element 16 (Value of Property) is not completed when Drug/Narcotic Violations (UCR Offense Code 35A)/ "6" = Seized for Data Element 14 (Type Property Loss/Etc.)/ and "10" = Drugs/ Narcotics for Data Element 15 (Property Description) are all entered. Data Elements 20-22 would be filled in.
