In this first edition of the newsletter for 2018, we will be going through major works that have happened in

our community in the past quarter. Also highlights from our very own event that was staged in January, New

Year New You, will feature. In Upcoming works will see improvements with the gym, CCTV upgrades and

various other improvements that go on behind the scenes, where we are hard at work in maintaining complex

and keeping it running. Also we are increasing our greenery and improving the look of out beach by adding

more Palm Trees. You will be able to see at the end a handy guide to some events from the Dubai Calendar

website that are family friendly and may interest you. Happy reading!

Major Improvements

Paint touch up of damaged floor, Parking Areas

Ongoing paint work is being conducted in parking areas in order to deter further deterioration of the

flooring. This work is expected to be carried on for the coming months.

Planned Preventive Maintenance of Fire Alarm & Fighting System

As a part of Dubai Civil Defense requirements, testing fire

alarms and firefighting systems in apartments and common

areas schedule has begun in Feb 2018, those apartments

involved will already be notified via notices and can expect a

visit by our vendors over the month. Please note that this is

vital and an important safety measure and we insist that

everyone extends their coordination in this regard.

New speed breakers in Parking

New speed breakers and speed limits signs have been added in the parking area to ensure a safer

environment for pedestrians in the parking areas. The speed limits should be followed as advised to avoid

any injury.

Sauna usage

The sauna is a great facility that can be used by all residents, it is recommended though that the sauna

be used properly in order to ensure its full life and to keep you safe. From the installation company, we

have valuable feedback that will ensure that we are all able to continue using the sauna for many years

to come. It is important that the saunas temperature is not kept higher than 85 degrees on the

settings. Also in order to preserve energy, please contact the health club at least 15mins in advance if

you would like to come in for a preheated sauna. This helps preserve energy and reduce common area

billing.

Beach Net Cleaning

Tiara Residence Jelly fish Net replacement has been completed and the old net has been removed in the

previous year. Also old Buoys were replaced by new Buoys which have been placed along the border of

the net and total of 7 were deployed at anchor points. The new net design has far better floatation on its

own and general performance. Beach net cleaning took place in January as regular maintenance to

ensure a full life for the net and safe and happy swimming for the residents.

Health Club News

The Gym Management at the health club are holding regular classes for various disciplines at

special rates for the residents of Tiara Residence. The trainers are all certified and have all legal

documentation as required by the local authorities as well as having insurance coverage for any

incidents. They have been put into place for the residents to insure all activity is legal on our

premises and that all residents are safe while enjoying Tiara Residences superior gym.

The health club is strictly for residents only and their guests. There is no tolerance of sale of

‘memberships’ or abusing the guest policy. Please report any matters to tr.oam@wasl.ae if you feel

that the rules are not being followed, only serious and verified complaints will be taken seriously and

acted upon.

The Kids club arrange various activities during the week for little children, the health club

management are always open to suggestion. You may approach them on anything you may have in

mind to better serve the community.

Landscaping

Residents may have noticed that the grass areas are blocked off for use during the cold months. As this is a

slow growth period, to preserve the quality and life of the grass this exercise has been conducted. The Large

lawn will soon be reopen for residents to enjoy while the smaller lawns will also go through the regeneration

period. We appreciate the patience shown by residents during this time and as soon as weather conditions are

warmer all lawns will be back open for all residents to enjoy.

Car Windows left open in Parking

It has been noted that car windows have

been left open in the car parking. Please

remember to lock and secure your car at

all times to avoid any mishaps and

damage to property. The management is

not responsible for any loss or damage

incurred in the car park. Our security do

regular patrols in the parking, but cannot

be everywhere at all times.

Returning towels to the health club

As much as we appreciate residents keeping health club towels and washing them for us, please return your

towel after usage to the health club. Your club card will be returned only upon returning all towels taken out.

We have our own laundry facility to wash and clean towel. Whenever you come to visit again you will be

provided with a fresh clean towel, No extra washing required.

New Year New You event!

The owners association held an event for the

community NEW YEAR NEW YOU, where food, drinks,

and games were arranged for the whole community

to participate. With Pizza eating competitions to free

yoga sessions for the adults and races, face painting,

tug of war and party games for the children. It was

fantastic to see the community out in force to enjoy

themselves and interact with each other. Food and

Drinks were provided for all guests and small gifts

were given to the children for participating. Overall

the event was a merry success and we hope to plan

to hold annual events in order to grow our

community bond.

Solis Events

New Year’s Event and Movie Nights

Solis held their annual New Years Eve event on the beach of Tiara Residence, where a majority of Tiara

Residence members were present to bring in the New Year with fun, dining, music, while watching the

fireworks show.

In Addition Solis with the assistance of the OA have been holding movie nights as and added activity for

families to enjoy on the grounds of Tiara Residence.

Fire Drill at Tiara Residence successful

The Bi-annual Fire Drill has

been successfully conducted

on the 29th of January 2017

as per DCD requirements. All

vendors concerned were

present to monitor their

respective systems and it has

been noted that there were

no major issues. Residents

who participated we would

like to thank as they were

patient and cooperated with

the evacuation team. We

hope to ensure an alert and

safe environment for all

residence.

Car washing company

In case you haven’t already acquired the services of the authorised car washing company “SSC car

cleaning” details are below. They specialise in using small amounts of water, in order to reduce wastage

and this falls in line with our efforts to have a more environmentally conscious community. For further
