As the 8th grade class sponsor I will be having a parent meeting on Wednesday March 20th at 6:00pm in my classroom. Madison Thompson was successful in her written exam to qualify for the state level of the National Geographic Bee. Miss Thompson will travel to Anchorage for the State Competition to be held on April 5th in the William A. Egan Center. After School Activities BusAs part of the new after school activities programs that are happening at the Sand Point School there is now an added bus run that will leave the school promptly at 4:05 Monday thru Thursday. We are very excited about the new programs being offered. Be sure to watch for more information in future fliers.

Extra Help & Skateboarding ClubMr. Reilly will continue Extra Help Saturdays, followed by the Skateboard-Ripstix Club which runs from 10-12:00. Parents should pick up their child from the club no later than 12:00 noon. The school now has extra helmets and a school skateboard that anyone can use.

Jump Start Basketball for Grades 2-5 The Jump Start Basketball after school program will start April 8th. The first two weeks will be Monday through Thursday 3:30-4:15. Fridays will be scrimmages to be announced in the Friday Flyer.

The third week of the program we will have practice on Monday April 22nd and Tuesday April 23rd from 3:30- 4:15 and Friday April 26th from 1:45 - 2:30. The final scrimmage will be on Saturday April 27th at 3:00 pm followed by an end celebration pizza party.

Gymnastics Schedule ChangeDue to the overwhelming response to our gymnastics program, there will be a schedule change.  We want to put safety first, so we need to make the groups smaller.

Kindergarten: will meet on the stage Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-2:50 pm.  These children may ride the elementary bus or arrange a ride home. (Parents, please be sure to meet the bus for your kinder child).

Grades 5-8: will meet in the gym on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:00, and take the activity bus home at 4:05. Grades 1-2: will meet in the gym after school on Tuesdays only, and take the activity bus home at 4:05.Grades 3-4: will meet in the gym after school on Thursday only, and take the activity bus home at 4:05.

If you have any concerns or questions please call Mrs. Nyberg at the school or at home. Stop by and observe your child any time!
