WELCOME TO MARIST
SO, WHAT’S NEXT?1. Get to know your professors and your Academic
Advisor, they are key to your academic success. 2. Get to know your RA, RD, and Mentor. All of
these individuals sponsor programs as well as work individually with you to ease your transition to Marist.
3. Your Mentor will schedule an initial mandatory meeting with you during the first few weeks of school. Your attendance is required.
4. Get involved. Participate in experiences offered by Student Activities. Most events are sponsored by your Student Programming Council and Student Government Association.
5. Participate in the Emerging Leaders Program, and consider joining the National Society of Leadership and Success.
6. Make it a habit to check your Marist communications (email, my.Marist) on a daily basis.
FIND OUT WHAT EXCITES YOU.
THE OPPORTUNITIES ARE ENDLESS...
...AND UNIQUELY YOUR OWN.

Congratulations on starting your journey at Marist. This Passport contains the necessary information to guide you through Welcome Week. Please carry it at all times. Begin by familiarizing yourself with the mandatory and optional activities so you understand where you need to be during your first days on campus. All events are free of charge but require your Passport for entry.
In the column below, you’ll collect stickers marking your attendance at Welcome Week events. Students who complete and return the Passport on Friday, August 31st will be entered into a drawing for a wide variety of prizes, including a free semester of books, tea with President Yellen, electronics, gift cards, and more.
For complete event descriptions and additional information about Welcome Week, please visit https://my.marist.edu/welcome-week or contact your First Year Programs Mentor. You may also contact the Office of First Year Programs at [email protected].
