They moved to their home in August of 2019 from the Plano area and have been working on the property ever since. They have removed 4 trees and a shrub, trimmed the remaining trees and composted around them all. Next to the garden shed that has been stained, Bill built a raised gar- den and installed a fence around it. Fill has been added and grass has been sewn. Besides planting new flowers around the foundation and under the trees, they’ve made major improvements to the front deck. Many of the neighbors say they are always working in the yard and Bill says they aren’t finished yet. Their hard work shows. Congratu- lations! We have tried many different varieties of plants and then picked our favorites. When we were in Wisconsin we had many tea roses, but now we have over twenty knock-out and landscape roses because they are so much easier to care for. “We also have over thirty hy- drangea bushes of different types and colors. The strawberry hydran- geas make wonderful cut flowers. For added color we incorporated a mix of cone flowers, Shasta dai- sies, geraniums, moss roses,black- eyed Susans, petunias, Clematis, viburnum, coreopsis , and hybrid lilies. Our color scheme is always changing. “As we were building our home, we sat down with Jason Knapp of Lawnscapes in Eureka and drew up our plan. He And his crew did a wonderful job of implementing it.
