SpoTliGhT on… Soundbounce

SoundBounce is a successful music and dance project for under-fives, taking inspiration from the shapes and sounds of the Pipe Organ. The project also aims to engage children and families with Town Hall & Symphony Hall and its programme.

THSH has been working in partnership with Ladywood Children’s Centre for a number of years, with further SoundBounce sessions running from November. Children and families work with an early years music specialist, dance artist and organist, to explore sounds, shapes and make their own music. SoundBounce introduces children and families to the organ, making it exciting and accessible, playing nursery rhymes and favourite songs.

SoundBounce families are also invited to Symphony Hall for a session of celebration and sharing. Here, children and parents are able to bounce and dance their way around the hall and have a go on the magnificent organ – much to their delight!

Performances Birmingham is one of the largest regional arts charities in the country. We invite people to discover great performances at the heart of Birmingham and participate in community arts projects at our two world-famous venues.

Ticket sales alone cannot sustain our programme; we rely on voluntary contributions to enable us to continue and expand our work. We aim to reach even more people within our communities and further develop our wide-ranging programme. We would like to thank all our supporters for their generous contributions to our charitable work over the last year.
