» We asked people what, in their opinion, is their favourite thriller sub-genre.

» We used a sheet which contained a description of each sub-genre, and also included some examples.

» We asked 27 people in total.» There were both advantages and

disadvantages to this method.

The films on the sheet needed to be more modern for people to be able to relate to them.

The idea of information over 2 pages put people off.

• An estimate age of the person filling in the survey• Their preferred age of characters.• And of course their favorite sub-genre!

How We Answered The Questions First Presented

1. What did we want to discover? We wanted to gain some form of background knowledge surrounding various different people’s preferences regarding thriller movies.

2. How we were planning on discovering it? We scoured the internet and gave out surveys to people of all different ages and backgrounds in order to get a wide range of accurate results.

3. Who are we going to talk to and survey? We spoke to many different people from all walks of life in order to get a wide range of results.

4. How can we ensure that our biases are not reflected in our research methods? We made sure that when we gave people the surveys that they were in no way influenced by us. We stayed away while they filled in the forms to ensure we did not pressure them in any way.
