Determine the voltage regulation for a rated current of 82 amps and 0.8 lagging
power factor
Calculations
= Cos-1(0.8) = -36.8 o
VOC = I / (Zsynch) + 127
VOC = 82 / -36.8 o (0.135 + j1.22) + 127
VOC =208 volts
Final Calculations
• VNL = 208.8)(√3) = 361 volts
• VFL = 220 volts
• Reg = (VNL-VFL)/VFL = 64 %
