Thor

Thor is furniture with body andsoul, if one can say that aboutfurniture. A designer can, I suppose.Actually, this is a conservative setof furniture that should be fit forany serious person. I mean, it’sunpretentious and down-to-earthkind of furniture. Some call itdesign furniture, but it sounds a bitsnobbish. It’s simply a decent set offurniture. One that is pretty goodfor working.

The furniture does not exactlyfollow the latest trends, but itcannot be considered old-fashioned either. The way I see it, itis efficient, big and strong. It isequally suited for filling up largespaces and creating an exclusiveworkspace for top executives.

Work desksTL-L

Work desks should be chosenbased on the individual needsof the user and the type ofspace. Desks TL-L, the maindesks of the Thor series, canbe used to combine a numberof different workstations thatare suited for all possiblekinds of spaces and place-ments. Whereas the onlything in common would bethe convenience of working.

If needed, a workstation canbe adjusted in an instant tomake it more spacious andgive it a new appearance.This can be easily done withmeeting tables, auxiliarysurfaces and customersurfaces. Yet, if you needprivacy, front shields andpartition walls will come inhandy.

Up to four people can com-fortably negotiate around thecustomer surface TL-K usedas a work desk extension.

The customer surface can beaccommodated alongside awall or in the corner. This willconsiderably increase thework area that is bordered bywalls and make an ideal placefor meetings between two orthree people.

The workstation providesgreater seclusion for work thatneeds more concentration.An independent meeting tableTL-K9 (round) or TK-K12(oval) can be used as anauxiliary surface.

TL-N

As double workstations, theTL-N desk surfaces create aspacious and a completewhole and don’t requireseparate customer surfaces.

Two-zone work desks TL-Nare the best solution for aspacious room. The desksprovide sufficient room forcomputer or paperwork andfor communication acrossthe table without anyauxiliary surfaces.

This is a room-saving work-station. The drawer unitT-SRL creates a convenientauxiliary surface next to thedesk.

Together with the auxiliarysurface, a spacious work-station creating seclusion isformed and it is perfect forcommunication with acustomer or a co-worker.

Work desksTL-I

Double workstations can endwith the customer surfaceTL-KD creating visualsoftness.

The simple square tablesTL-I are the classics of workdesks. The spacious desksaccommodate a monitor, akeyboard and everything elseneeded for paperwork. Bycombining the desks withauxiliary or customersurfaces, it is possible tocreate an infinite number ofunique and functionalworkstations.

Small by dimensions, but ahighly functional work-station. Up to three peoplecan fit around the meetingtable TL-K9.

An executive’s workstationthat has the customer deskTL-K also suitable for smallermeetings.

Work desksTL-VTL-W

The workstation for fourpeople facilitates teamworkand doesn’t take much spaceeither.

All these desks can becombined to form star-shaped workstations for two,three or four people. Thesekinds of desks are best suitedfor offices with open spaces.

The work desks can beseparated from each otherwith the partition wallsT-V10 that create privacy.

A comfortable doubleworkstation – easy andcompact.

Three desks can be combinedto form an efficient circle.

Thor was a Nordic God ofThunder who ruled overstorms and lightning. The aimof the gigantic andexceptionally strong warriorwas to fight against theenemies of gods. To achievethis, he needed his magicweapons: the enchantedhammer glowing with fire(actually an arrow oflightning), iron gloves and abelt that doubled the wearer’sstrength.

In modern office life, oursecret weapons areconvenient workspaces, anessential part of which is thework desk. Thulema’s officefurniture series Thor provideseverything that is needed tofurnish an open space forcustomer service or a privateoffice room. WORK DESKS

The Thor range has workdesks for all purposes: maindesks TL-L with corners,classic square desks TL-I andtwo zone desks TL-N.In addition, there are desksTL-V and TL-W that can becombined to form star-shaped workstations for upto four people.

Desk boards are fixed toa solid metal frame.Available desks are 720 mmin height or height-adjustable (670–770 mm).

Auxiliary surface TL-A comesin three lengths. An auxiliarydesk connected with thework desk at the same levelcreates a practical additionalspace for working.

CUSTOMER SURFACES

Customer surfaces TL-K andTL-KD are attached to workdesks, providing additionalspace and a little seclusion.

MEETING TABLES

Meeting tables TI-K9 andTL-K12 are independenttables that can easily berearranged in a room byeither bringing them close toa work desk or placing themin a quiet corner. The deskshave a trumpet leg. Height750 mm.

With the partition wall T-V,a seclusion can be created fordouble workstations or workdesks in an open space.

The partition wall coveredwith a cork mat helpsto mute noise and importantpapers can be attached tothe wall with pins.

DRAWER UNITS

Suspended drawer unitsT-S1, T-S2 and T-S2L canbe fixed under the auxiliarysurface TL-A.

Drawer units T-SR2 andT-SR3 on castors can bepulled out from below thedesk and relocated as desired.

Drawer units T-SRL2 andT-SRL3 with an auxiliarysurface are as high as thework desks (720 mm),forming an auxiliary surfacenext to the work desk.

Top boards of the drawerunits with an auxiliarysurface are available in thesame finish as the work deskboard.

DESK SHELF

Shelf T-LR is firmly attachedto the side of the work desk.It is convenient and handyfor storing documents andother stationery.
