Project Management Office Industrial Placement Student, Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK Ltd. Sunderland(August 2014 – September 2015)

Key results: Help different functions in professionalising and standardising the management of their

projects, programmes and portfolios. Identify key project managers in each location, carry out an audit on skills qualification and

experience, and manage the logistics in order to provide the specific training to fulfil the need. Provide structure, methodologies, tools, techniques and knowledge needed to ensure

successful project, programme and portfolio management, as well as determining the right methodologies to use in the identified projects.

Enforced and followed 6 Sigma. Offered to continue working at Nissan under a zero hour contract.

Voluntary Work Experience, Siemens Energy. Hebburn. (2011 – 2011)

Duties include: Witnessed how a major successful company manages projects with aggressive cost and time

critical targets. Worked closely with project managers. Collaborated with the project team to ensure targets were being met. Witnessed how working as a team and collaborating directly impacts the success of business

management targets

Hobbies & Interests

Thomas has a keen interest in boxing/gym. He competed successfully for Lumley Boxing Club at junior and senior level. During this period he competed in the Amateur Boxing Association Nationals. Thomas assists in the coaching of the younger club boxers and intends to begin my level 1 coaching certificate.

Thomas also plays football competitively for Lumley FC at a high level.

Represented Nissan’s golf team throughout the 2014-15 season in regional events.
