• Attending a live performance for the first time, as a teenager

• Getting my first CD Player, as a teenager

• Experiencing a live performance of Barbara Strozzi’s work in Highgate, my first experience of a serious departure from the classical mainstream.

• Using music to help myself get a better degree – listening to CDs the whole time I was typing up my dissertation – Albinoni again.
