Goodbye and Thank you to the Parish It is with sadness that we, the Medical Missionaries of Mary, announce our departure from St Agnes’ Parish. We have had a community of sisters living in the Parish for almost 30 years. We would like to thank you all for your friendship and support over the years. Our community has been home to
sisters studying including young women who had just joined MMM as well as home to sisters involved in community nursing and pastoral work of various kinds. We have felt privileged to belong to such a hospitable and vibrant parish.
We assure you of our prayers and ask that you pray for us on our move to Drogheda on Wednesday 22nd February
Trócaire Boxes are available at all church exits, please take one home and save over the Lenten Period

Family Offering We are deeply grateful to you who faithfully contribute on a
regular basis to the family offering. The Weekly Family Offering is the only collection that goes directly to the parish, so you will appreciate how important it is to the Parish
Finances. It is our main source of income that covers the cost of insurance, heating, lighting and maintenance. If you would like to
contribute to this collection by way of weekly envelope or standing order please call to the Sacristy after Mass to collect a Family
Offering Box or a Standing Order form for the Bank. Alternatively
call into the Parish Office during the week to arrange.
ASH WEDNESDAY Wednesday next is Ash Wednesday, a day
of Fast & Abstinence.
Ashes will be distributed after 9am, 10am & 7pm Masses. It is a sign to ourselves and others that we are beginning our Lenten Journey
SEEING YOUR LIFE THROUGH THE LENS OF THE GOSPELS - Matthew 6:24-34
1. This passage has many beautiful images and encouraging words.
Read it slowly and let the words and images speak to you.
2. We all worry, and possibly spend a lot of energy on needless
worry. Often the things we worry about never happen. Behind much
worry lies a lack of trust in ourselves, in others, and in God. What
has helped you to develop the kind of trust that helps you to avoid
excessive worrying?
3. One of the situations that can cause anxiety is when we have
divided loyalties. ‘No one can be the slave of two masters’. A clear
set of priorities can help us avoid this dilemma. What has helped you
be clear in your own mind on where your priorities lie?
4. ‘Set your hearts on God’s kingdom first’. Has your faith in God
helped you in times of anxiety? Your faith will not take away the
problems, but knowing that God is with you, no matter what, can
make a difference. What is your experience of this?
