TY (Trinity Youth) will meet tonight at 5:00 pm at the FLC. All youth should bring their Bibles, money for their concert ticket, and their $25 pilgrimage registration fee. The youth also sends their thanks to the Shepherd Fellowship Class for their loving support.
Tuesday Night Bible Study . . . Dr. Bailey continues his Bible Study, “How the 12 Steps Comes from the Bible” at 7:00 pm at the FLC. This week he will focus on Step 3 (made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God, as we under-stood Him).
Please continue to bring in non-perishable food items for Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard. The items of the month for October are per-sonal hygiene items and paper products.
Pastor Laura is in the process of planning Confirmation for the coming year. Any youth in the 6th grade or older who is interested in learning more about their faith and what it means to be a member of the church is invited to participate.
JOY Group will have a senior luncheon on Wednesday, October 7th, at 11:30 am at the Market Street fellowship hall. All seniors are invited to join us for salads and desserts and our musical entertainment. Hygiene items (soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, tooth-brushes, razors, combs, lotion, shampoo, etc.) for MHC will also be collected at this meet-ing. Please RSVP with Georgann (799-6747 or [email protected]) if you are planning on attending. Sandbox Meeting . . . We will have a short but very important meeting on Tuesday, October 13th (note date change), at 7:00 pm at the Market Street sandbox for all those who work in the sandbox at our FLC and Market Street locations. Family ministries is planning a trip to the Carolina Opry Christmas Show in Myrtle Beach on Saturday, December 5th, at 1:00 pm. Tickets are $44 for adults and $27 for children through college age. For more information or to make a reservation, contact Sheila Bron at 910-619-2513. Res-ervations must be made by Sunday, Novem-ber 1st. Twenty-two reservations are need-ed to get the group rate. Checks should be made payable to TUMC and earmarked Carolina Opry. United Methodist Women are organizing a yard sale from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm Satur-day, November 7th, at the FLC. Items may be brought to the FLC on Friday, November 6th, from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Gently used items such as house wares, small appli-ances, small pieces of furniture, toys, books, baby items, and seasonal items are appre-ciated. However, no clothing other than in-fant and toddler clothing will be accepted. Proceeds will be used to help with UMW's service and missions projects.
If you are visiting us today, we welcome you to Trinity and invite you to join us after the service for refreshments and fellowship at the back table at the FLC and in the fel-lowship hall downstairs at Market Street.
