VBS Donation Station open! Grab a tag or two of items we need for VBS; the station is in the narthex. VBS will be here before you know it. Also, it’s time to register--kids and volunteers. Forms are at the station.

Fabric Needed Social Ministry is currently working on 2 projects for Lutheran World Relief: Fabric Kits used to teach women in third world countries to sew and earn a living and Quilts distributed to people in need of bedding. Both projects require cotton or cotton blend material. If you have leftover fabric from a project or would like to donate new fabric to be used for these projects, please place your donation in the Lutheran World Relief bin in the hallway. Social Ministry will cut the fabric into lengths that can be used for these projects. Thrivent contributed Action Team money for this projects but we are in need of additional fabric.

Shared Blessings Returns! June 30, 10am-2pm Love Does has teamed up with Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion in Philadelphia to make and serve the Shared Blessings community meal for 80-100 people and we need you! The homeless and needy men and women appreciate the nourishment, and the staff running the Shared Blessings program can really use the help with food prep and serving. Here are 2 ways you can help. You can do one or both of them.

1. Prepare a part of the meal (guidance provided) 2. Travel with us to Philadelphia on Friday morning, June 30 to serve at Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion (21st and Chestnut Streets) .

If you work near center city, and can spare an hour to serve with us at lunch time, please join us. We can surely use the help. For additional info, or to sign up, contact Lisa Diewald ([email protected]).

Bear Creek Camp (BCC): Please join us for a life-changing adventure at Bear Creek Camp. Pastor Mark will be serving as Chaplain the week of June 18-24, and we would love for the kids of St Paul’s to join us! Speak with Rebecca Cuff, Melissa Pechin, or Pastor Mark about the program. For more info, go to the BCC website at: [email protected] or call: 570-472-3741. See special listings on page 3.

Little Dresses for Africa Pillow case dresses for Little Dresses for Africa is a ministry that provides a new dress for a young girl who may have never owned a dress of their own.

The dresses are simple to make from a new pillow case by following four simple steps, and within a short time a new pillow case can be turned into a prized possession for a grateful little girl in Africa. And who knows, some of these dresses could even make their way to girls at our companion church in Tanzania.

A sample dress with written sewing instructions are on display in the narthex. And if you have any questions, contact Tilly Hujsak at 610-363-6898 or at [email protected].
