CHORAL INTROIT America

*PROCESSIONAL HYMN #475 Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing

*CALL TO WORSHIP & PRAYER OF CONFESSION Rev. Kati Collins Minister: This is the day that the Lord has made; People: Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Minister: With what shall we come before the Holy One, and bow ourselves before God on high? People: God has shown us what is good. Minister: What does the Lord require of us, People: but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God? Minister: Let us bow our heads and join together in prayer: All: Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart and mind and strength. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. In your mercy forgive what we have been, help us amend what we are, and direct what we shall be, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. (Time for silent prayer and confession...) In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

Personal hearing devices are available. Please inquire of an usher.

We encourage parents to take advantage of our staffed nursery and/or cry rooms for

their children. Our balcony cry room is now equipped with both audio and visual

equipment, so you won’t miss any part of the service. We love and welcome all and

wish to provide the best worship experience possible for everyone.

We respectfully ask that all electronic devices be silenced during worship services.

Greeting at the 9:15 a.m. worship service are Alan & Marilyn Shineman. Greeting at

the south entrance for the 10:30 a.m. service are Jan & Judy Rayl.

The ushers at the 9:15 a.m. service are: Al Welch, Doug Tippin, Nancy Habluetzel

and David West. Ushering at the 10:30 a.m. service for the month of May are: Susan

Schoneweis, Mary Mertz, Jon & Sylvia Hollis, Carolyn Knostman-Bowers, Bob &

Sally Mullen, Charles Stark, and Jim Neill.

We have two lovely floral arrangements this morning. One is from Amanda Erichsen

& Peter Tomlinson’s wedding ceremony yesterday. The other is from Peggy & John

Lyons in memory of their son-in-law, Lt. Col. Dan Swayne who was killed when the

plane he was flying crashed after takeoff in the United Arab Emirates. Kate Lyons

Swayne grew up in this church, she and their 7 year old daughter, Grace will be spend-

ing the summer in Manhattan and will be active at First Presbyterian during that time

before returning to Abu Dhabi, UAE to begin the next chapter of their lives. The white

rose on the communion table is in celebration of the baptism of Aiden Grant Whitesell,

son of Brian & Amanda Whitesell.

Summer Youth Choir will be meeting weekly throughout the summer to learn contem-

porary Christian worship songs and songs from Broadway musicals. First rehearsal will

be Thursday, June 2nd at 4:00 p.m. If this time works for all, we will continue to meet

then with a concert in late August. Contact Pastor Kati for more information.

Our Senior Pastor, Rev. R.C. McConnell continues to recover from his recent surgery,

and will return to church sometime in June. Thank you for your continued prayers.
