New Member Class Begins June 9! Join us on June 9 at 10:15 a.m. in the Guild Room for our New Member Class. In conversations facil-itated by staff and congregants you will participate in discussions about All Saints’ vision, who we are

as a community of faith, how we use our time, money, and talents to fulfill our mission, and how we come together in worship. By par-ticipating in this

offering, you will also have an opportunity to meet and connect with other people who are also on their faith journey, forming bonds that former participants say last for a long time. Whether you come from another faith tradition, from no faith tradition, or you are a lifelong Episcopalian, you are welcome. Produced and narrated by award winning actor Jeff Bridges, this artful documentary examines our fragile natural world and the peril posed by climate crisis and as-pects of our own human nature, and asks the question, “What kind of future would you like to see?” Wesley Reuti-mann of Active SGV leads a community discussion.Information = Marty Coleman at 818.517.8878 or [email protected] Ministry Join us for Ladies, Friday, June 21, 8:00 p.m. at Theatre @ Boston Court. Tickets are $25 and available at: https://qrs.ly/ul9xszw. Ladies is a fictional account of the birth of The Blue Stocking Society, the world’s first major feminist movement

in 1750’s London, told through a modern lens. The ladies’ ambitious goals soon create scandal in London society and conflicts amongst them-selves, escalat-ing into a tangled knot of electric and jagged relation-ships. This deliciously funny and irreverent world premiere examines the humanity and passion of these trailblazing ladies, and inspires us to carry on the work they began. Tickets available at the link above or at the Sign-Up Center June 9 & 16. Information = Debbie Daniels, 626.583.2750 or [email protected].

As a pianist Childs has performed with Yo-Yo Ma, Sting, Renee Fleming, The Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Chick Corea, Wynton Marsalis, The American Brass Quintet, and Chris Botti. A native of Los Angeles, Childs grew up immersed in jazz, classical, and popular music influences. A prodigious talent at the piano earned him public performances by age six, and at sixteen he was admitted to the USC Community School of the Performing Arts, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition under the tutelage of Robert Linn and Morten Lauridsen. Thus far in his career, Childs has garnered thirteen GRAMMY nominations and four awards. Information = Melissa Hayes at [email protected] or 626.583.2725.

PentecostThe feast of Pentecost, the Church’s birthday,

underscores the poetic power of sound in wind and word.

Pentecost tells us from the very beginning, church was the place where everyone heard the

Word of God in their own language, where everyone heard something that said, “This is for you. This is your home.”

—Mike KinmanAfter the services, you are invited to join us

for cake and jazz on the lawn.
