June Is ECHO Month—Please pick up a list of most needed items at the Welcome

Center or the Information rack. You may place your donations in the grey bin in the

narthex labelled “ECHO.” Thank you for your support of ECHO!

Last call for baseball! This Friday at 7:05 p.m. the Washington Nationals play the

Texas Rangers. See Rev. Gray TODAY if you’d like to buy a ticket.

FunDay School—Are you available on just one Sunday in July? Our children would

love to work with you! Sign up in the narthex.

Dr. Michael Catlett will be our guest preacher next Sunday, June 11. Michael has

agreed to help us with preaching on Sundays while the Personnel Committee

continues the process of finding our intentional interim pastor. Please continue to

pray for the Personnel Committee as they do their work.

Next Sunday, June 11 at 7 p.m. we will hold the Quarterly Church Conference.

Child Protection Training will be offered this Tuesday, June 6 at 10 a.m., next

Sunday, June 11 at 9:45 a.m., and Sunday, July 9 at 9:45 a.m. Volunteers for VBS

or other children’s activities are required to attend CPT every two years. Check the

list at the Welcome Center to see if you need to take the training.

The Great Obstacle Race will be held Saturday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m.-noon at

Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Fairfax. The race is an obstacle course race that

raises awareness for the plight of refugees. All proceeds will go to Refuge and Hope

International, a ministry partner of Mid-Atlantic Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.

On Sat., June 24 we will kick off a summer filled with events for our youth with

KingsFest at King’s Dominion. Sign up on the downstairs bulletin board.

Join us Tuesdays at 7 p.m. this summer for our Summer Book Conversations: on

June 27, Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis by J.D. Vance;

on July 25, Jackie Robinson: A Spiritual Biography: The Faith of a Boundary-

Breaking Hero by Long and Lamb; and on Aug. 22, Hallelujah Anyway:

Rediscovering Mercy by Anne Lamott. Books are $10.

Flower Dedication—The flowers in the sanctuary today are given to the glory of

God by Lucinda Marvin in celebration of Dick’s 70th birthday.
