Praying for Upcoming Ministry Events
There are a number of exciting events coming up at Laurelwood Wewant to pray for our planned efforts to glorify God in our communityand around the world Our Harvest Carnival on October 31 Epicenterconference on November 4 and Christmas program on December 10
are all opportunities to invite the community to our church We willcontinue to collect items for Operation Christmas Child up through theall-church shoe-box packing party on Saturday November 18th OurAngel Tree outreach will begin collecting gifts for kids in ourcommunity who have a parent in jail All these efforts need prayer aswe prepare for them

A Christian teenager was beaten todeath by classmates recently afterbeing accused of drinking from the same glass as a Muslim SharoonMasih 17 had begun classes at the exclusive MC Model BoysGovernment School Burewala in Punjab only three days before hismurder He had been admitted to the school based on superioracademic performance at his village school and was the only Christianin his class A teacher in the room at the time of the attack said hedidnrsquot notice the incident because he was reading a newspaperSharoonrsquos grandmother who attends a church led by a VOM partnersaid the family intends to ask the courts for justice ldquoToday is our sontomorrow will be other sons and daughtersrdquo she said Pray forSharoonrsquos family as they mourn their sonrsquos death Pray for all Christianchildren in Pakistan who face harassment at school and in theirvillage

A Christian teenager was beaten todeath by classmates recently afterbeing accused of drinking from the same glass as a Muslim SharoonMasih 17 had begun classes at the exclusive MC Model BoysGovernment School Burewala in Punjab only three days before hismurder He had been admitted to the school based on superioracademic performance at his village school and was the only Christianin his class A teacher in the room at the time of the attack said hedidnrsquot notice the incident because he was reading a newspaperSharoonrsquos grandmother who attends a church led by a VOM partnersaid the family intends to ask the courts for justice ldquoToday is our sontomorrow will be other sons and daughtersrdquo she said Pray forSharoonrsquos family as they mourn their sonrsquos death Pray for all Christianchildren in Pakistan who face harassment at school and in theirvillage
