SAP Maintenance StrategyOn February 4, 2020 SAP Announced the following maintenance commitments
1. S/4HANA supported until 2040
2. Mainstream Maintenance offered until end of 2027 for the following core applications:-
– SAP ERP 6
– SAP CRM 7
– SAP SCM 7
– SAP SRM 7
– SAP Business Suite on HANA
– SAP Solution Manager
3. Extended Maintenance until 2030 (if converting to S/4HANA +2% maintenance tax as an optional offer)
4. Customer Specific Maintenance beyond 2030
SAP Maintenance PhasesMainstream Maintenance
o Support according to your support agreement with SAP
Extended Maintenance
o Three-year extended maintenance phase at an additional 2% fee (similar scope to Mainstream Maintenance)
o Customers to request quotation through SAP Account Executive
Customer Specific Maintenance
o Standard Support Charges still apply
o No delivery of further legal patches, Support Packages, Kernel revisions, Java patches or Front-end patches
o Customer pays for the expense of solving complex problems
o Service level agreement for incident response time not delivered
o Remote support not provided
o SAP Product Document may no longer be available
