This online presentation is designed for part-time workers and student workers benefits-eligible employees who do not work on
campus or who are out of state (virtual) employees who want to review the orientation
material as a refresher
New benefits-eligible staff and faculty are urged to attend an instructor-led session of New Employee Orientation within two weeks of their hire date.

• Submit the New Employee Payroll Packet to your campus contact or the Office of Human Resources and complete your I-9 verification no later than your first day of employment.

• Activate your ASURITE UserID to obtain your ASU email and computer accounts.
• After you have activated your ASURITE UserID, you will be able to access My ASU, a portal into the secure ASU website. You will have access to the Employee Information section where you can check the status of your pay, your benefits, and your personal information.

• Obtain a Sun Card, the official photo ID for all ASU students, faculty and staff.
• Purchase a parking permit (if you drive to campus), or consider alternative Transit Options.

• If you are benefits-eligible, submit the enrollment forms for health, life, disability, flexible spending accounts and mandatory retirement within 30 days of your hire date.
• Register for an instructor-led session of New Benefits-Eligible Employee Orientation to learn about your benefits options.

Arizona Public Service Policy
Arizona law requires that all state employees receive a public service orientation that covers policies and laws relating to the proper conduct of business for a public employee.
You must meet this requirement by reading and familiarizing yourself with the policies and procedures summarized athttp://cfo.asu.edu/hr-publicservicepolicy.
ASU Information Security
All ASU employees are required to complete the information security training within 30 days of employment. This online, self-paced class shows you how to protect ASU data and information systems from harm.
The course includes a presentation and a quiz, which may take 30 minutes to complete. You must answer 12 of 15 quiz questions correctly to earn credit for the course.
You will need your ASURITE UserID to be able to log into My ASU to access the training.

Fire Safety & Prevention Training
All ASU faculty and staff, including part-time employees and student workers, who work on campus must attend an instructor-led session of Fire Safety and Prevention training within 90 days of employment.
You will need your ASURITE UserID to be able to log in to the Learning Management System (LMS) to register for a specific session.

Emergency Notification Systems
All ASU employees and students are urged to sign up with the ASU Alert system so that you will be notified if there is a campus-wide emergency.
When there is an emergency, you will be notified by Text message: A text message will be sent to all
individuals who have signed up for this service.
