Our Lord God has given us a new
song to sing, a hymn of praise to our
God. Many will see what God has
done and be astounded. We will put
our trust in the Lord.
Psalm 40:3

COMMUNITY EDUCATION MINISTRY (ESL/GED)
Despite bad weather and cancellations, we had 31 students qualify for “FAITHFUL ATTENDANCE” drawings during Dec.-Jan. sessions. The following students were
winners, along with their teachers. Congratulations to all our qualifiers and teachers.
(l-r) Ireneo Juarez (Brittany Cleere) Gus
Lopez (Susan Lane) Tiffany Yu Yun (Jorge Carmona) Congratulations to all our qualifi-
ers and winners!
We encourage you to patronize the following local businesses which have provided us with “Dinners for Two” meals or “VIP Car Washes” for our Fall Semester winners: El Tapitio’s Mexican Restaurant (New Road), Gratziano’s and Crickets Grill (Downtown) Cotton Patch Restaurant (Bosque Blvd.) Applebees (N. Valley Mills) N.
Valley Mills Car Wash (@Cobbs Ave.) IHOP (S. 4th & I-35/New Road)
Mike Lasuzzo, owner of N. Valley Mills Car Wash has provided monthly VIP car wash for our
winners.
Thanks to Baylor students, Tom Deshong and Katie Jo Baumgarder as well as GED
student daughter, Kathryn Delgado. They are program volunteers.
Since the first of the year, 11 new students have registered for either GED or ESL classes. They come from China, Sri Lanka, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua,
Mexico and the U.S. This week we had an inquiry by a student from Tibet!
