LOGO IDEAS

This logo idea is very simple and easily readable. The word velvet is clearly the centre of attention and is filled in with the texture of a velvet material, which adds to the affect. The word productions are neatly lined on top of the word velvet and in a pure white colour. This makes it stand out as well as not being as centre of attention as Velvet.

Both words are of the same font,(birchSTD) which again makes it easier to read a looks more sophisticated. The word productions are also smaller in font size as well. However this logo maybe boring as its played to safe and not very imaginative.

We decided to stick with the theme of having Velvet filled with the texture of velvet material. The red colour against the black background makes it seem mysterious and stands out. Both dark colour complement each other well as ones darker while the others pretty loud. Having Velvet a red colour also helps connotes blood for us, especially as our media product is of the horror genre.

Having productions in a different font gives it, its own identity. The font seems more laid back and fun compared to Birch Std . This gives production its own identity in a way showing that its less importantthan velvet, however still plays a role. I believe the font size for productions is to small and the letters may be too placed out.

In this logo we tried a different font from the ones above for the words. We have switched the fonts around to see if it made any difference to the importance of the letters. Switching fonts make velvet look more dominant than productions. The swirly handwriting gives Having productions in a more serious font takes away the attention from it.

The way productions is resting on the bottom of velvet makes it seem compact and neat. This will make it easier to be used on, for example different merchandise as well as fitting it in to different areas. It a less boring feels, and looks less serious than the other to.

We took a different approach on to this logo, however we dont think its as affective. Having the background as the velvet material makes it more visible to see the words. On the other hand it makes it seem less professional and less imaginative. Making it harder to add to different things.

We have however identified that the logo looks better zoomed out. This is good as it will look good on paper work and merchandise. We have however taken in to account that you cant read productions as clearly.

Even though we have continued to try to stick to the dame kind of design d edit it in different ways, we believed we should at least try and make a different logo all together.

The font (birch std and calbri) , size (36) ae pretty similar to the fonts above, however the texture of the words and glow at the back makes it different. Even though we have taken a different approach I dont feel that this logo looks professional and will look affective in our production.
