How to get the latest information about what secondary schools offer?• MOE’s DSA-Sec website https://www.moe.gov.sg/admissions/direct-
admissions/dsa-sec . The DSA-Sec categories & participating schools will be updated in April 2019).
• Check secondary schools’ websites for updated info on DSA categories, selection timeline & criteria.

New single centralised DSA-Sec Application Portal
• Application process is simplified. No application fees charged• Encourage more students to consider talent development as it is open to all students• Apply through a single centralized DSA-Sec Application Portal for all Sec schools that offers
distinctive programmes• Applicants for SOTA & SSP will have to apply directly to the schools & follow their timelines• Each applicant can indicate up to 3 choices. • On top of the 3 choices made, each applicant can apply separately to SOTA &/or SSP• Consider carefully. Help manage the time & effort so that your child will not be put
through multiple trials & interviews.• Access Portal using only one parent’s SingPass login. Parents who are unable to access
their SingPass can seek primary schools’ assistance• No need to submit testimonials.• No hardcopy documents to be submitted in round 1 • Secondary Schools may conduct interviews, tests, trials or camps to identify students
strengths, fundamentals & potential talents. Personal essays to be written only on the day of interview

A student can apply to up to 3 different schools, with no restrictions on the talent areas.
A student cannot use all 3 choices on one school. He can leave the 3rd choice blank or choose another sch.

Each child can apply a talent in 3 different schools. Choice order does not matter
Each child have the flexibility to apply up to 2 talent areas in each school. Each child may have talents in more than an area. This caters to the development of his multiple talents.
Each child is allowed to choose different schools to develop one of his talent.
If a student choose 2 talent areas in one school, he can apply to 2 different schools only.EXAMPLE 3

Secondary schools have the prerogative to shortlist students for the stronger area
Dual track school (IP or O-level)
If a talent area is offered for both the O-level and Integrated Programme (IP) in a dual-track school, applicants are to indicate a preference for one of the programmes or no preference.
The sec sch may offer the applicants a track that is different from their indicated preference, based on the school’s assessment of their suitability.

Absence from school without valid reason is a school offence and the student is liable for a ‘Fair’ or ‘Poor’ Conduct Grade.
