    group at the front, his three companions herding the mysterious creatures# 'ere we are," the ead scientist sighed, pushing open a huge set of dou%e doors that ed to the

    argest part of the a%# (nside were ten pods ined aong the far wa and mutipe dess scattered with

    %uttons and papers# The two ta maes pushed the creatures forwards into seven of the ten pods, thencosed the doors one %y one# The creatures hissed and spat and cawed at the doors#

    The ead scientist and the woman were aready sitting in chairs in front of some of the contro pane

    dess when the two men )oined them# What do we do with them*" one of the ta men ased his eader#

    +irst, ets do that e-periment on them," the man suggested# .uicy, quicy! 'ep me with the

    coordinates# Which ones are femae, and which are mae*"

    switches, and made ad)ustments, then finay set the e-periment to %egin# The pods fashed with a

    %right ight and the creatures inside screeched in pain, faiing a%out and crying out in otherwordy

    voices# (nside the pods, their grotesque %odies %egan to tae human form, morphing and twisting andgrowing, unti the ight died down, eaving seven human %eings standing in the pods where the

    creatures had once %een# The creatures1that1were1now1human panted and eaned tiredy against the

    was of their pods# The scientists watched them for a few minutes %efore %ursting into oud cheers# (t wored!" the woman squeaed# (t reay wored! Oh, this is great!"

    if she wants to get to him," Cory, one of the ta mae scientists, answered#

    the eash whie 3ason chose a syringe fied with a yeow su%stance and reached out, in)ecting it into

    stoen the womans waet and was emptying it of its contents, pawing a the money into a itte pieand hissing at anyone who so much as ooed at it# There was a sighty overweight %oy gnawing on the

    poor womans arm, though he didnt seem to %e %iting down hard enough to %rea her sin#

    & young man was positioned with his head resting on the womans stomach and appeared to %easeep# & second young man was chattering endessy with the woman, mosty things a%out himsef

    from what Bernard coud te# The ast stranger was a third young man, who was e-amining the young

    girs pie of money and Bernards house ongingy#
