MAY, MONTH DEDICATED TO HONOR MARY, THE BLESSED MOTHER OF CHRIST
We are close to the beginning of the month of May, dedicated to honor in a special way Mary, the Blessed Mother of Christ, and our dear Mother in Heaven. We will present, in this month some articles dedicated to Her, so we may know her in a better way and this knowledge will lead us to love her more and learn to seek always her intercession with her divine Son. In the image or picture of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, She calls our attention to her Immaculate Heart, a Heart that burns in divine love, that surrounded by white roses, lets us know her total purity and her Heart pierced by a sword, (as prophesied old Simeon to her) as the Heart of Jesus pierced by the soldier’s lance. Mary’s Heart invites us to live along with Her, the path of Love and Cross, (in other words, loving God, we accept the sufferings, life brings to us). The Memory of her Immaculate Heart leads us in a direct and mysterious way to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Everything in Mary directs us to her Son. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are marvelously united in time and eternity. The Church teaches that the most secure way to reach Jesus is by way of Mary his Mother. In order to follow this recommendation of the Church, we consecrate ourselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, by means of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This truth can be confirmed in the Liturgy, in celebrating both feast days in a consecutive form: Friday and Saturday, in the week following Sunday of Corpus Christi. Holy Mary mediator of all graces, invites us to put our trust in her maternal love, to direct our prayers, asking her Immaculate Heart to help us conform our selves to her Son, Jesus Christ. To venerate her Immaculate Heart, not only we honor her physical Heart but also her person, as a fountain of all virtues and graces. We venerate her Heart as a symbol of her love for God and for all of us, her children. Let us honor our Immaculate Mother following her words and orientation and may we grow in the love for Her, and by Her, to her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,,, Sr. Celia Campoy, MDPVM

The Divine Mercy group would like to thank all those who participated in the Divine Mercy
celebration. It was a beautiful celebration! Thanks to all who provided refreshments for the
reception. May Lord’s mercy be with you forever.
CELEBRATING MARRIAGE
The marriage anniversary celebration scheduled for April 29 has been rescheduled for June 24, Saturday, at
5:30pm. On that day we will celebrate those couples who have been married for 50 years and up! Please ask
your families to join us in recognizing those couples who have lived the Sacrament of Marriage for 50 years
or more. If you and your husband and wife would like to participate in this celebration please call the parish
office at 592-4602 and let us know your name. A renewal of wedding vows will take place at the mass and a
reception will take place in the parish hall after the mass.

During the month of May we will have the recitation of the Rosary and
offering of flowers of the Blessed Mother at 6:00pm, Monday-Friday in

MULTI-MARRIAGE CELEBRATION
St. Martin Parish is planning a multi-marriage celebration. This is an
opportunity for couples who want to marry in the church to do so. The
parish will help you with paperwork and preparation needed for the
marriage. We will also help prepare the celebration. The mass fees will be
taken care of as well as the music and flowers for the wedding mass. A
reception will be offered for you and your immediate family in the hall. We
will provide a wedding cake for each couple, decorations for the hall, the
wedding reception meal and DJ music for the wedding dance.
Please call the parish office at 592-4602 if you are interested. The wedding will take place December
23, 2017. We need time to prepare all paperwork so the earlier we can start the preparation the
better. DEADLINE TO BEGIN PREPARATION FOR THIS MARRIAGE CELEBRATION IS MAY 15. Please
call parish office on or before May 15.

QUEEN CONTEST! We would like to announce that we are in search of Senior Queen
Candidates for this year’s Queen Contest!
If you are 50 years and above we encourage you to run for
St. Martin Queen!
This is a fundraising contest and the candidates who run will hold
fundraisers to raise money for St. Martin Church. The person raising the
most money will become St. Martin Queen for the 2017-2018 Year.
Coronation will take place the weekend of Oct. 28 & 29th at the Fall
Festival.
