Dear Parishioners, Christianity is a call to an intimate life of love and service with the One who is the God of love in human form. He is calling you now. To answer His call is to answer the invita-tion to be in love and intimate familiarity with Jesus. This is the heart of our religion and nothing else. Jesus says to you, “Follow me.” Many did not accept this and rejected Jesus. However, some did accept Him. They are our models. As Jesus walked along, He saw Simon and Andrew and He called them. Immediately they left everything and followed Him. Then, a little farther on, He saw James and his brother John. He called them and they too immediately left everyone including their father and followed Jesus. From then on, they were always with Him. His call changed their lives.
