ThinkingWorks, in collaboration with UK design firm Jones + Partners, have combined thorough research and a contemporary design aesthetic to develop a range of acoustic furniture, ThinkingQuietly. Consulting acoustic engineers as part of the design process, advanced materials were selected to create a balanced acoustic environment, while also ensuring a sophisticated and unique design outcome

suitable for the modern workplace.The innovative Cone of Silence, an

overhead meeting space designed to create privacy for participants, was the first piece developed in the ThinkingQuietly range. Noticeably reducing reverberation and improving the acoustic conditions in the office, the ThinkingQuietly range now extends to workstations, workbays, tables and accessories.

A solution that offers peace and quiet within the office. An environment ideal for maximising productivity and the creation of ideas.

ThinkingQuietlyWorkstations

The ThinkingQuietly range of workstations were developed to accommodate open communication for occupants, whilst minimising the transmission of noise to surrounding workstations. Acoustic engineers were engaged to assess the acoustic performance of the ThinkingQuietly 4 person Workstation within a typical open-plan office.

The results of an extensive study into the effectiveness of the range, demonstrate that under most conditions the workstations improve acoustic privacy when compared to traditional workstations in a typical open plan workplace. ThinkingQuietly workstations are available with or without canopy, various screen options, a range of accessories together with various stain and finish options.

WorkstationDetails + Accessories:Canopy

A diverse range of accessories using the ThinkingQuietly acoustic panel are available to complement the range and further enhance the acoustic properties and performance. The practicality of the panel is extended to a ThinkingQuietly Desk Pad, Brief Screen, Canopy and Cable Tray available in a selection of PET finishes.

Following the natural direction in which sound travels, the distinctive ThinkingQuietly canopy is designed to capture sound from above. Additionally, the Canopy can house LED lighting to provide a light source for each user with the wiring concealed within the timber uprights.

The ThinkingQuietly Brief Screen is designed as a subtle dividing screen that can house personal items and be carried by a user to a meeting or their next place of agile-based work. It can be wired using a Neutrik plug and features 1 x socket and 2 x USB outlets inside the screen, which allows laptops or tablets to be charged.

The Desk Page is an optional accessory for worktops. Utilising the PET material in light grey, dark grey or oatmeal, the Desk Pad is available with or without power and is ideal for providing storage for small tablet devices, pens and other desk top requirements.

ThinkingQuietlyWorkbays

The ThinkingQuietly Workbay offers endless possibilities to create bays of varying sizes and configurations. The Workbay is made from modular screen panels to allow the opportunity to create zig-zag workbays or C-shaped meeting zones. Maximum user flexibility can be achieved with both standing and seated desk heights available.

The Cone of Silence symbolises the origin of the ThinkingQuietly range. This distinctive and ground-breaking design creates a focal point in the workplace and a meeting space with superior acoustic privacy. A dedicated quiet zone product, the Cone of Silence is available at a fixed height only.

To complement the complete ThinkingQuietly range, there is a series of occasional and meeting tables, manufactured from European Oak to natural finish or stained to black with table tops to specification. Available in 425mm, 715mm and 1035mm heights the tables are available in a range of standard top sizes.
