12:30pm Math & Magic…Really?!Dr. Arthur Benjamin, Not just a boring lunch speaker!

Dr. Arthur Benjamin is both a professor of mathematics and a magician. He has combined his two passions to create a dynamic presentation called “Mathemagics,” where he demonstrates and explains his secrets for performing rapid mental calculations - How to memorize a 100 digit number; How to figure the day of the week of anyone’s birthday, and more!

Dr. Benjamin has been featured in numerous media outlets, including: The Today Show, CNN, The Colbert Report, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Esquire, Wired, and has given 3 TED Talks, one of which has been viewed over five million times.

2:00pm - 6:00pm Option 1: Impact Investing Site VisitUrban Electric Power - Pearl River, NY

Participants will witness impact investing first hand through a “field trip” to Urban Electric Power (UEP). UEP is manufacturing rechargeable zinc-manganese dioxide batteries for stationary energy storage applications. Developing countries are especially benefiting from this company’s innovative battery technology which offers a high-performance, safe and low-cost alternative to traditional batteries.

Note: This session includes an approximately 45 minute drive each way.

2:00pm - 5:00pm Option 2: Personal Vision Statement WorkshopIt has been proven that writing down your life goals and objectives makes them more concrete and attainable. With New York’s skyline as our backdrop, this interactive session will introduce a thoughtful process for identifying meaningful goals and crafting your very own personal mission statement.

Chef Michael Ferraro grew up passionate about food, and at an early age he knew his purpose was to be in the kitchen creating innovative and delicious meals. He was named as a 30 under 30 top chef by Zagat and now at the age of 34, Michael is the chef/owner of Delicatessen which turns out international comfort food. Chef Michael along with his close friend, Chef Diane Henderiks, will curate a meal to remember for our group in the fun and funky setting of Delicatessen.

Named the 2016 James Beard Award “Best Chef / New York City”, Chef Waxman is known for his use of local ingredients and innovative dishes. We can think of no better way to end the weekend than with a toast to thinking big and then doing it!
