For those of you looking for the proof in the pudding of Zukav, Hill shows us how from Ford to Edison,

these men have controlled their consciousness and unlocked the keys to the universal.

According to Hill it comes down the law of nature. This law states physical results are the product of

energy currents known as thoughts. Every physical form (matter), no matter how large, started with

energy and grew into what it is today through repetition of energy (thought).

Whether we want to own a fortune 500 company or just a taco truck, it is our destiny to carryout

responsible choice over the energy currents responsible for developing our soul into the multisensory

human we are in contract to be (universal contract).

My Takeaway

You are what you think.

Gary Zukav taught us the power of the nonphysical through the “multisensory” human. Hill teaches us

how to get to this multisensory human. It’s crazy the degree they complement and parallel each other,

and I honestly believe both understand the same truths in the context of different eras.

In terms of my takeaway, there is one specific part that left me in chills, and it has to do with his invisible

council. Instead of me butchering the story, here is the exact transcript of Edison’s “imaginary” speech

to him.

You are destined to witness the discovery of the secret of life. When the time comes, you will observe

that life consists of great swarms of energy, or entities, each as intelligent as human beings think

themselves to be. These units of life group together like hives of bees, and remain together until they

disintegrate through lack of harmony. These units have differences of opinion, the same as human beings,

and often fight among themselves. These meetings which you are conducting will be very helpful to you.

They will bring to your rescue some of the same units of life which served the members of your cabinet

during their lives. These units are eternal. They never die! Your own thoughts and desires serve as the

magnet which attracts units of life from the great ocean of life out there. Only the friendly units are

attached-the ones which harmonize with the nature of your desires.

Ready for the chills? The next week he went to see Edison (still living) and tell him about this experience.

Edison smiled broadly, and said, “Your dream was more a reality than you imagine it to have been”.

We’ve all heard cheesy sayings like “You are the sum of the 5 people your around most”. Hill brings this

to fruition, as our thoughts are the energy that creates the matter of our life.

Desire is the origin of thought, successful thought that is. It is the nonphysical matter necessary to kick

start the law of inertia. He uses the following framework to structure desire:

Faith is a state of mind which may be induced, or created, by affirmation or repeated instructions to the

subconscious mind, through the principle of autosuggestion.

The exact “formula’s” are in the executive summary, but the foundation is best described through a

garden.

PERSISTENCE: Medium to Reinforce Desire and Faith

The ingredient to maintain desire and faith is persistence. Persistence is simple, the ability to power

through whatever life throws at you. If you aren’t following your meaning, or your true desire, you’ll

have no faith to power through.

That’s why I’m proposing you can train your perseverance just like your six pack and biceps (beach

body). Except instead of “weights”, you’ll be using Autosuggestion and the Master Mind.

Autosuggestion: The Medium to Train the Subconscious

This principle simply means ways to influence your subconscious. He proposes repeating your goals

twice every time you wake up and go to bed.

Authors Example

He compares it to driving a car. At first you fully focus on the road in the learning stage. However, in no

time driving becomes second nature. Successful thought is no different.

My Personal Experience

I was never the brightest bulb, but in college I tried a new tactic. I would study my notes of the whole

day for 15 minutes before going to bed. I was strongly pressed for time in college, and at times only had

those 15 minutes before bed, but I can credit this simple yet powerful exercise to my success in college

while allowing me to retain usually the exact words from my professors.

The Master Mind

Power is merely organized and intelligently directed knowledge. The best way to acquire this is through

organizing yourself around smart people, as we are the sum of emotional/intelligent currents flowing

around us.

Put simply, we are the product of who we surround ourselves with. This couldn’t be more accurate than

when it comes to intelligence.
