There is no such thing as a “talent fairy”!

• The whole idea of “talent” is a little insulting to artists.

• It almost always comes down to working hard and sticking with it until it works.

If you are not really frustrated sometimes, you are not pushing yourself enough.

Artists have to risk failure in order to have success.

• “The person who makes NO

mistakes never makes anything.”

Creating “art from the heart” takes courage.

There is a difference between practicing skills and “creating art” and

both are necessary.

You will eventually believe what your “inner critic” says, so turn it off!

No one else can make your art – leave your mark on this world!

Don’t worry about creating “perfect” art – just create A LOT of it!

It should be fun, if it isn’t you are doing it wrong – lighten up!
