• #2- Vocations are not only for priest and nuns • Most people have been incepted by this idea • Vocations include being called to the married life, single life or the

religious life among other things

• Sisters and nuns are not the same thin• Nuns live a solitary life (cloistered)• Sisters work within the community

• They are not priest• They take a vow a dedication to

Jesus Christ• Their mission is about serving

others

• They are called to live the evangelical counsels (vows of poverty, chastity and obedience) in the community

• The most prominent groups is the Order of Friars Minor, or the Fransiscans

• Similar to a Friar• Live a cloistered life • Live in a self-sufficient

community• They are committed to a

particular community or place

• Use your mind to think about what God wants for us

• Pray to God that you do the right thing

• Keep your mind open to all options

• You should want your spouse to be making good choices

• You should pray for them to maintain a good relationship with God

• Hopefully they are praying for you too

• Could be a transitional vocation • Could also be your permanent vocation • It’s okay to be single! ;)
