Good Nutrition
• Eat your fruits and vegetables
• Have fast food only as an occasional treat – Make healthy fast food choices
• Limit candy, chips and sweet treats
Exercise
• At least 30 minutes a day
• At least 5 days a week
• What kinds of things can you do to exercise?
Smoking
• Smoking cigarettes and cigars causes cancer
• Smoking causes other health problems– Bad breath– Tooth decay– Respiratory illness– Stained teeth– Reduced lung growth and function
Sun Safety
• Your body gets Vitamin D from the sun– Vitamin D promotes bone growth
• Too much sun exposure is dangerous• Wearing sun block protects your skin from skin
cancer• Wearing hats and glasses protect you as well• Prevent sun burns
– Indoor tanning is a source of harmful UV radiation
