In Loving Memory Of

THEY SAY by Ron Tranner

They say I'm sorry for your loss.

They say your heart will mend.

They say you're in a better place

and death is not the end.

They say you're reunited

with loved ones gone before.

They say that you'll be waiting

when We walk through heaven's door.

We feel their love in every word

of comfort they impart

and know that each is spoken

from deep within the heart.

But all the words of comfort,

though kind, sincere, and true,

can't take away the emptiness

We’re feeling without you.

Obituary

Derrick Dion Williams Jr affectionately known as “Boo” and “Mak” was born April 19, 1994 to Derrick Williams Sr. and Samantha Whoie in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He transi-tioned and took his wings on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Derrick attended Lee and Wake County Schools where he played basketball and football. He had a love and gift for music that he shared with his brothers. You would find them together making beats and rapping. Boo had a great love for his family and friends, especially his sons. His sons were the love of his life as he was proud to be their father. In his earlier years, Derrick was a member of Mt. Carmel Pentecostal Holiness Church where he participated in the youth depart-ment. Later, he moved his membership to Touch of the Master Hand Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Juliet Everette. He enjoyed playing the drums and synthesizer. Derrick was preceded in death by one sister, Precious Angel Williams. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: two sons, Brayden Williams and Bryson Williams (mother, Sheileona Wilson) of Sanford; parents, Samantha Whoie of Raleigh and Derrick Williams Sr. (Cheriss) of Sanford; grandparents, Vincent McLeod of Sanford, Myra Brown of Raleigh, William Everette of Sanford, Apostle Juliet Everette of Apex, Patricia DeFerrari of Washington, DC; great-grandfather, Rev. Erza Person of Sanford; sisters, Patrina Bethea, Kaniya Alston, Chytrice Upchurch, Karma Williams all of Sanford; brothers, DeErick Williams, Dominique Williams, Shaddius Upchurch, Saveon Taylor, and Delontae Williams all of Sanford; aunts, Thalia Person of Raleigh, Tonya McIver (Darrell) of Sanford, Miranda Stanley Jones (Gary) of Knightdale, NC; uncles, Malcolm Williams of Sanford, Tony Williams of Zebulon, Omar Williams of Clayton; great aunts, Deborah Guion (Ronald) of Fuquay Varina, NC, Sandra Young of Washington, DC, Gwen McLeod, and Beverly McLeod both of Sanford, and Lisa Fumes of New Jersey; great uncles, Lindell McLeod (Dewey) of Sanford, Donald McLeod (Carolyn) of Fayetteville, NC, and Desi Gill (Diane) of Broadway, NC; nephews, Aiden Williams, Shaddius Upchurch Jr., and Zayden Harris all of Sanford; nieces, Aubrey Williams, and Zanaira Harris both of Sanford; godparents, Truman "TJ" and Lucinda Tutt of Liden; and a host of other relatives and friends. Boo, your captivating smile and dimple will forever be etched in our hearts. As we close this chapter, your unconditional love will live on through your sons and the memories shared. You will Forever Be in Our Hearts. #LLB #LLM
