Welcome Welcome Welcome Reflections:

We are starting TWO NEW EMAIL/CONTACT PROGRAMS SOON- “Ministry Scheduling Pro” and “Flock Notes.” If you have

not been receiving emails from St. Patrick’s or have changed your email address, please contact the office or Shelly so we

can update your information. Thank you!

Dear Friends,

With the end of September we are back into the swing of things here at St. Patrick’s. Summer time

was a busy time for us as well with preparing for the start of our Faith Formation programs and

many administrative projects that our staff was working on. All those things are done behind the

scenes and are often unnoticed but essential to our ministry here at St. Patrick’s. I would like to thank Deacon

Patrick and Deacon Chris, Shelly, Jackie, Jack, Aileen, Chris our music director, as well as our staff volunteers

Mary, Lisa, Carol, and Marylin for their amazing work and dedication to our parish.

The one new thing that we initiated this summer was our Mission Trip to Haiti. It was a great success and a life

changing experience for all who have participated. Big thanks to Kate Salmon Robinson for coordinating and

leading this effort. You will hear more about it in a near future.

Last weekend we also held our Family Fest Fall Festival. It was so good to see our community together having

so much fun. I would like to thank everyone who made it such a wonderful success under the leadership of

Deacon Patrick. More about it in the next week’s bulletin, including pictures.

This weekend we are also starting classes for our Faith Formation students. Please, keep our students, teachers,

and families in your prayers. The mission of our Faith Formation program is to “grow the next generation of

disciples who love God and one another.” This effort is an effort of the entire parish community as we all try

to support one another through prayer, teaching, and leading one another close to Christ. We do have

wonderful kids and young people in our parish who need our support and prayers.

Lastly, this weekend the diocese is holding an annual collection for Catholic Schools. As a parish, we are

blessed with being closely associated with Our Lady of the Valley Regional School in Uxbridge. This

weekend the students from the OLV school will be speaking and I wish to thank all the members of our parish

for the support you have shown to OLV.

May God continue to bless all of us here at St. Patrick’s,

Fr. Tomasz

Laudato Si : On Our Common Home

Last weekend, about 150 attended the Worces-ter Catholic Environmental Stewardship Confer-ence. Some of what we learned:

--Why Laudato Si might be considered as a social encyclical letter, since the cry of the earth goes hand in hand with the cry of the poor. - How Holy Cross is doing as they move toward their carbon neutral by 2040 goal, along with general considerations for all of us, such as: What to do? How important is it? How much are we willing to spend? and what are we willing to give up? - How Massachusetts is doing - preparations and responses, consid-erations for the most vulnerable places and the poorest of citizens. and more. A more detailed summary will be coming in another bulletin.
