*Esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person, a personal quality or ability, or something considered as a manifestation of a personal quality or ability

The students of New Tech respect each other and the property of others.

- Responsibility -

The ability or authority to act or decide on one's own, without supervision

*New Tech is a school full of responsible students, that do the things the are supposed to get done in the time needed.

21st century skills1. Good Work Ethic is an important skill to have and Ypsi New Tech. helps you to acquire or improve it. *Always getting to work on time, having a positive attitude and working hard are examples of good work ethic. 2. Collaboration is a skill often

used at Ypsi New Tech. *Ypsi New Tech works in groups on computers to complete real life problems while learning Michigan’s curriculum, rather than individually studying books or listening to boring lectures. 3. Use of Technology is an

important skill to have in the world today.

*Mainly all work is done on computers these days. Paper files, books, etc are still used today, but not as much as the internet.4. Personal Capacity is a skill used

often, that is hard to define. *New Tech students work together, using all of there personal capacities. Some students are stronger at some things than others. New Tech students use their strong skills, put them together, and solve real life problems.

P.B.L.P.B.L stands for project based learning. There are 5 steps to P.BL.

1. Entry Document (The Problem that needs to be solved).2. “K” Know List (What you know about the problem from reading it).3. “NTK” Need to know list (What you need to know to help you solve the problem).4. Problem Statement (A sentence explaining the problem...ex. We...create/do...to...)5. Next Steps (What you should do next, things like interview someone or go out into the world).
