Low Cost Experts in Thermal Management Standard & Custom Heat Sinks, Cold Plates, Liquid Solutions and Thermal AssembliesNatural Convection Heat Sinks is one of the most common and simplest cooling methods found in electronic equipment. They represent the most reliable method, as it doesn’t rely on active components such as fans which have the potential to wear out or fail. Typical natural convection heat sinks or any other thermal solutions are based on stamped metal, extruded aluminum or casting manufacturing technologies. Additional processes are required to meet the various applications in the high technology industry. These technologies yield low cost

Heat Sinks Extrusions, Baknor’s extruded heat sink data base offers an extensive line of different types, sizes and shapes. Eliminate tooling costs by basing your fabricated heat sink design on one of our tooled extrusion profiles. In addition to the database of standard profiles, Baknor has the ability to extrude custom shapes.
Heat Sinks Castings, Advantages include; Design flexibility to accommodate complex shapes, Ideal for medium to high volume applications, Consistent quality and Low cost.
Forced Convection Heat Sink thermal performance is improved by increasing the thermal conductivity of the heat sink materials, increasing the surface area and by increasing the overall area heat transfer coefficient. Baknor can design the right thermal solution using extruded aluminum, machined copper or assembled fin technology to meet the thermal requirements.

Phase Change Cooling - Looking to improve the efficiency of your thermal solution? Heat pipes and vapor chambers improve thermal per-formance by reducing the conduction spreading resistance within a heat sink. Heat pipes and vapor chambers are two phase heat transfer devices with an extremely high effective thermal conductivity. They are completely passive heat transfer systems, having no moving parts to wear out and requiring no energy to operate.
Liquid Cooling - For demanding applications, liquid cooling solutions offer high performance and reliability. Baknor’s cold plate technology will meet both your performance and cost targets. Tube Cold Plates provide a reliable cost effective entry point. When performance is paramount Brazed Cold Plates technology offers high performance solutions through customizable cooling paths and the addition of internal fin structures to increase heat transfer.

Fin Assemblies - Baknor’s thermal experts will work with you to create the most efficient and cost effective design for folded fin and stamped fin assemblies.
Fan Assemblies - Baknor integrates fans into thermal assemblies to meet demanding cooling applications. Integrating fans into heat sinks is ideal in applications where system air flow is non existent or unpredictable.
Heat Pipes - Baknor employs Cu-H2O heat pipe technology with a sinter Cu powder wicking structure. We can integrate several condenser technologies with heat pipes to remove heat including extrusions, bonded fin heat sinks or stamped fins. Heat pipes also offer tremendous design flexibility. We can easily bend or flatten them to accommodate the needs of the heat sink design or the location of heat sources.
Vapor Chambers - A vapor chamber is a planar heat pipe that forms the base of a heat sink. Vapor chambers deliver higher thermal performance than a traditional heat sink by minimizing spreading resistance found in alumi-num or copper bases. Vapor chambers deliver superior two-dimensional heat conduction, enabling greater heat sink efficiency and component reliability.
Brazed Cold Plates - Custom designed aluminum or copper brazed cold plates overcome the “tube bending limitations” that are present with tube liquid cold plates. Our precision design and superior technology eliminate leaks for a cost effective and hassle free solution..
Tube Liquid Cold Plates - Baknor’s thermal experts will work with you to develop liquid cold plate solutions using copper pipes for maximum design flexibility. We embed the piping into aluminum plates to move heat to a different location, where it is released away from the component.
