Why bother about the U-Value?

The U-Value is a standardized measurement unit of building thermal insulation quality.

The lower the U-Value, the better the insulation.

U-Values are important building metrics in cold climates.

Even though U-Values are less commonly referred to in hot climates, they are nevertheless important.

In hot climates, heat is stored in the building envelope and released to the interior of the building. Thisstudy shows how you can measure this heat and how you can find out if improving the buildingenvelope will save energy. Read more.
