As Founder, I started this nonprofit organization from an idea to increase and support the education and gardening ex-perience of all ages in the Bay Area. I was inspired by being the daughter of a farmer and learning organic ways to grow food. Before starting GIFT, I worked on my own in school and community gardens developing them and educat-ing teachers, children and the public on ways of growing their own food, flowers, trees, bushes and vines.

a. Lead the Sunnyvale Community Garden in talks with all the gardeners about how to improve conditions and become a more relevant organization in the community.

b. Developed and ran the semiannual meetings to organize the Spring and Fall Plant Sales to raise funds for the garden

c. Raised over $20,000 in plant sales d. Donated over $600 of my own money for seeds and materials e. Arranged for over $500 in seed donations from Master Gardeners of Santa Clara Countye. Invited artisans to sell crafts and art work, made extra money from their donationsf. Attended Community Neighborhood meetings and Town Meetings to introduce the Sunnyvale Community

Garden (SCG) to the City of Sunnyvale Residentsg. GIFT is now in the process of donating materials to the SCG for the 2016 Spring Plant Sale
