Theology 3REFLECTION PAPER

Church service for us was a different event engaging to appreciate the value of effort and time management and the essence of hardwork and presence of God.We have a given an opportunity to volunteer for a church service at the San Vicente de Paul Church, Adamson University, Manila. We decided to divide our group into two so we maximize the 6 hours. The first service that was attended by Trish Dones and Mark Relucio. they clean around the church. The congregation seemed to be quiet and peaceful it's just like when you closed your eyes you can feel relax and just listen to the soothing ambience of the church and it will totally give you a power to face your day. They felt that God was providing a comfort for them. They thought that they're outer to the deepest inner experienced a presence of God that is difficult to explain. As they have learned many things that makes them more attached to God. It means that even when they are tired doing the things that they needed to finish just sit and feel the presence of God and it will totally refresh you and vanished all the tiredness.

Then on the second service that was attended by Neil Aprao and I the church office decided to encode some baptismal record. It was really easy to do because we just type it on the computer then taaaddaaa. Job well done ! As we go back to the school I saw a beggar kid lying on the floor. I felt so sad for him. So I just pray for him and continue to walk.

As Jesus taught the disciples to welcome children. The church has to be taught the same thing. Jesus want us to treat everybody the way you treat yourself. In Mark 9:36-37, wwe can find where Jesus took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me/." It is important to treat children well, but also to teahc them about Jesus. We should never regard children's ministries less important that those for adults.

Being a responsible student means being there for other people, not just looking out for yourself or for your friends. There is an endless variety of ways in which a person could be a responsible citizen: helping someone in need, keeping your city clean, serving on committees, coaching little kids in a sport, etc. But being responsible to me means reaching out past yourself to see what you can do. It's more than just doing my job, because that's what I am expected to do. It's doing the unexpected to make our city and even our country a better place to live.
