    “Flip -hart presentations, and handing out a factsheet, as a complementar# aid for the class. 9e

    descri"es the situations in which the grammatical structure can "e used. 9e e$emplifies and

    conte$tuali(es a set of sentences, and states the rules to form said sentences. 9e also e$plains

    some variations (“If clause” written before the “main clause” and vice versa).

    We are talking a"out the future. We are thinking a"out a particular condition or situation in the

    future, and the result of this condition. There is a real possi"ilit# that this condition will happen.

    The first conditional is a structure used for talking a"out possi"ilities in the present or in the

    future. The first conditional has the present simple after :if:, then the future simple in the other

    clause5

    if + present simple, ... will + infinitive

    t:s used to talk a"out things which might happen in the future. &f course, we can:t know what

    will happen in the future, "ut this descri"es possi"le things, which could easil# come true.

    if clause to elicit the continuation of the sentence.

    covers the sentences and retells the stor# using the pictures. B prompts and corrects. Then the# swap

    roles.

    1ow focus on the tenses and elicit that the ver" after it is in the present simple and the other ver" is
