Dear parent(s)/guardian(s),
The students in our Discover Chinese program will be taking a field trip to the New York Chinatown on Wednesday,
July 8, 2015. They will visit the Museum of Chinese in America for some hands-on activities, and then, have a
Chinese lunch and go shopping, before finishing our visit with a walking tour with the guides from the museum.
The students will be chaperoned by their teachers and program interns. The cost of lunch of $10 is covered.
If they plan to buy something in New York, please remind them to bring some money.
Because we are still a week away from the day of the trip, please check the weather the day before, and remind
your child to dress accordingly and wear comfortable walking shoes (no flip-flops). Lunch will be at 1 p.m.,
so please have your child(ren) bring a water bottle and some snacks for the bus ride to New York and back
(no glass bottles). Please also remind them to bring their (or your) cell phone for emergency use.
