Just UnLeashed

Ron named Official Artist for “The 2006 Red Carpet Westminster Fashion Show”The 2006 Red Carpet Westminster Fashion Show will be held in New York City on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 in the Penntop Ballroom of the Pennsylvania Hotel. Burns painted Joan Rivers’ black Pekingese, Dr. Max Rosenberg, with proceeds to benefit the AKC Canine Health Foundation. This first annual event will be a fashion show with canines from Westminster and their human models wearing look-a-like fashions created by students from three major design schools to whom a scholarship will be awarded the top three winners. We would like to thank

Gregg Oehler of New York Dog and Hollywood Dog magazines, Judy Davis of 1st in Line, and author Tracie Hotchner, “The Dog Bible”.

Collector Profile

Chris, Carey and Meg Hausbeck“We have been fans of Ron Burns as long as we can remember, having first seen one of his prints at a friend’s house, then a limited edition at our vet’s office, and originals at a local gallery. We instantly fell in love with his paintings. There’s something about the eyes which draw you in and make a heartfelt connection. We attended his annual gallery show in March, 2003 and left with a limited edition of “Andy’s Pop World” and three books. Once the art hung in our home, we got what we call “the fever.” A few months later, we ordered “Newman’s Big Adventure” and when we went to the gallery to pick it

up, we saw an original, “Kindy”, and left that afternoon with both. At the next annual show, we bought another original, “Amber”. Since that time, we have purchased another limited edition, two more originals, and commissioned Ron to paint our dog, “Meg”. It is amazing how Ron actually captured her spirit and personality in the painting. We cherish every piece of Ron’s art that we own -- they truly are a joy to experience!” by Carey Hausbeck
