Long term goals are important and help you look down the road of where you want to get to, but

Harvard psychologist Dr. Amy Cuddy believes that when it comes to Goal setting shorter

is better! She states the reason many fail at accomplishing long term Goals is because they are “So Big,

and So Distant and they require a million little steps in between… (also they are) very much outcome

focused.” Dr. Amy Cuddy states that “we do much better when we focus on incremental change, little bits

of improvement (at a time).”

Where do you want to take your life in the next 30 days. What are the peaks you want to reach. Trust me you can get there! First things first though, lets put the destination into the G.P.S. Journal. Come up with 1 Peak for both your Personal and Career/Educational Peaks! What is your 30 day GOAL (or peak)?

You may ask why do I need Personal and Career/Education PEAKS? What good is reaching one of your Career/Education PEAKS if you are not happy with who you are as a person? On the flip side what good is reaching one of your Personal PEAKS if you are not happy where you are at in your career/education? Lets achieve balanced growth.
